Deliberative Forum
Deliberative forums are a space in which an issue or problem is introduced in a manner that prompts thoughtful consideration and discussion so that a consensus may be achieved around the steps, approaches, or options available for its resolution.
The MindKind project put the voice of young people with lived experience of mental health challenges at the heart of work to design and test the feasibility of a Global Mental Health Databank.
Working across three countries, the project involved youth advisors, young people’s advisory panels, deliberative workshops and a randomised control trial to explore attitudes towards different models for governing collection and sharing of sensitive mental health data.
