Anna Corrêa is a data scientist interested in the intersection between illegal gold mining in the Amazon Basin and mercury concentration in diverse ecosystems.
She now focuses on how key data-driven decisions are taken within her scope, and most importantly, which communities are overlooked by those policies.
She studied in the United States where she engaged in community-led initiatives through Phi Theta Kappa, where she won two international awards, and her community college. She also received the Nelson Sepulveda Leadership Award for her work at a collegewide conference on AI and its fair use.
Anna will start her Masters Degree at the London Interdisciplinary School in September of 2026, where she will keep on researching and striving for human connection.
