Join us to explore the methods and findings from the Generative AI in Education: Have your Say distributed dialogue and to ask how we can make sure that future decisions about data and AI in education are shaped by the voices of the students affected.
In this hour long session we will cover:
Student voices on generative AI in education
- A step-by-step guide to how we gathered informed views on AI from over 1000 students around the country in six-weeks;
- What students told us about generative AI in education;
- How student views informed updated AI Product Safety Standards;
- How you can build on the Distributed Dialogue toolkit.
Learning from experience Dr Claire Bessant (University of Northumbria) and Anna Beckett (ABC) will share their evaluation of the distributed dialogue.
This will be followed by a Q&A on the initial presentation and evaluation.
Informed and Engaged: future opportunities for student voice on AI Invited guest speakers will share reflections on resources that could support student voices to explore AI in Education.
